If an accident happens
At Inter Hannover we have in house claims and legal specialists to handle physical damage and liability claims involving general aviation, airline and aviation products manufacturers. These experts have many years of 'hands on' experience in developing highly efficient and effective claims-handling procedures.
Our consistent goal is to bring each case to a resolution that is equitable to all of the involved parties in as simple a manner as possible.
Should an accident occur which involves an insurable loss that may be underwritten by Inter Hannover please follow the simple steps outlined below to ensure as smooth a claims process as possible.
- All accidents/claims should be reported to Inter Hannover as soon as possible by phone, fax or e-mail. Please also send us a copy of the accident report filed with the Accident Investigation Board. To file the original report please follow the undernoted link. You will access the website of the
Transportstyrelsen – Rapportera luftfartshändelse. - Inter Hannover will define the action to take after an accident. Please note that a crashed aircraft must not be removed or otherwise touched until the Accident Investigation Board has approved the release of the aircraft
- Once the Accident Investigation Board has approved the release, the damaged aircraft should be secured. To allow the aircraft to be salvaged safely a licensed mechanic must assist during the salvage operation
- A copy of the Aviation Authority accident report should be sent to Inter Hannover as soon as possible together with photos if available
- Theft or burglary must be notified to the police and a copy of the police report sent to Inter Hannover together with a schedule of stolen/damaged items
